House Painting Services Built for Aurora Homes
Painting a home in Aurora isn’t the same as painting in lower elevations or milder climates. At over 5,400 feet above sea level, Aurora homes are exposed to intense UV radiation, rapid temperature swings, and frequent hailstorms, all of which break down paint faster than homeowners expect.
Centennial Painters provides professional interior and exterior painting services throughout Aurora, Centennial, Parker, and the South Denver metro area. We tailor every project to local conditions. Whether we’re restoring a 1960s ranch in Hoffman Heights or refreshing a newer stucco home in Southlands, you get results that are built to last.
We are a woman-owned, family-operated company led by Kristi and Eric Conrad, delivering expert craftsmanship backed by a 2-year exterior warranty.

We hired Centennial Painters to repaint the exterior of our home, and the results exceeded every expectation. Our house was eight years old and still had its original paint, but we wanted to completely transform it with a more timeless, classic look featuring a white body and black trim. The finished product is absolutely stunning. From the beginning, Eric and his team stood apart from every other company we contacted. Eric spent approximately 45 minutes carefully walking around our home, evaluating the condition of every surface, and explaining exactly what would be required to achieve the best possible result. Other companies were in and out within 15 minutes and provided very little explanation. Centennial Painters was also the only company that recommended fully priming the house before applying the new color. Although we selected Sherwin-Williams Emerald paint, which includes primer properties, Eric explained that the dramatic color change could still result in uneven coverage or spotting without a consistent undercoat. That level of knowledge, honesty, and attention to detail gave us confidence that they were focused on doing the job correctly rather than simply doing it quickly. Our painters, Dennis and Giovanni, spent six full days meticulously putting their experience and craftsmanship to work. They took extraordinary care to protect our windows, patio, landscaping, and everything surrounding the home from paint, spills, and overspray. Their preparation was thorough, their work was precise, and their attention to detail was exceptional. Dennis and Giovanni are truly masters of their craft. The lines are clean, the coverage is flawless, and the transformation of our home is remarkable. It looks better than we imagined it could. We are absolutely thrilled with the outcome and could not recommend Centennial Painters more highly. Anyone considering painting their home should make Centennial Painters one of their first calls. Their professionalism, expertise, preparation, and quality of workmanship are on another level.![]()

Centennial Painters did a great job on the exterior of my house; for, what I thought, was a very competitive price. I checked out a few painters in the market and I’m glad that I went with Eric and his team. Hi crew came in, power washed, primed, caulked and painted my entire house in a day. My house is a one-story ranch - so maybe not as big as some other houses out there. But I’m glad I hired Centennial Painters and I’ve already referred them to my mom for some of her interior painting needs.

Exterior Repairs and a Fresh New Look in Aurora, CO
This recent exterior painting project in Aurora, CO, required much more than a fresh coat of paint. Our team replaced rotted boards around several upper and rear windows, repaired damaged vertical trim, and carefully caulked, sealed, and power washed the home before painting began.
The homeowners selected Summit Gray (SW 7669) for the body, Extra White (SW 7006) for the trim, and Greenblack (SW 6994) for the soffits, fascia, and accents. The rich contrast gives the home a clean, modern look while the extensive repairs help protect it for years to come. From the detailed in-person estimate to the punctual, efficient crew and thorough cleanup, we were proud to make this long-awaited project a positive experience from start to finish.
This is what our homeowner had to say:
“The crew showed up day one ready to go. All of the needed repairs were made, the house caulked and sealed, and power washed to prep for paint. Before they left, they said they would be back at 7 AM. Usually, when a contractor says that, they really mean 9:30, but Jimmy and his crew were right on time! The end result is amazing, and I couldn't be happier.”
Before and After: Interior Repaint Project in Aurora
In a recent project in Aurora, CO, our team helped a homeowner update their bathroom by removing outdated wallpaper and repainting the walls for a fresh, modern look.
While wallpaper can add character, older bathroom wallpaper often peels, traps moisture, and shows wear over time. It can even lead to mold in especially humid areas like the bathroom. Removing it is one of the most effective ways to refresh the room and create a cleaner, more updated feel.
Wallpaper removal requires a careful, step-by-step process to protect the underlying drywall. Our team safely removed the existing material, removed the remaining adhesive residue, and repaired the wall surface as needed to ensure a smooth, ready-for-paint surface. The result? A brighter, more durable bathroom that’s easier to maintain and better suited for everyday use.

Local Considerations
Aurora is one of the most diverse housing markets in the Denver metro area, and each neighborhood comes with its own painting considerations.
Established Neighborhoods
Established neighborhoods like Aurora Hills often feature mid-century ranch homes with aging wood siding or older coatings. Proper prep is critical for long-term results.
Golf Course and HOA Communities
Homes in Murphy Creek, Saddle Rock, and other areas prioritize curb appeal and consistency. We help homeowners stay within HOA guidelines while still achieving a fresh, updated look that stands out.
Southeast Aurora
Newer homes in these neighborhoods often feature stucco or composite siding. While they may not need heavy prep, they still require coatings designed to handle UV exposure and seasonal expansion.
With rapid growth happening across Aurora, many homeowners are deciding between builder-grade finishes and higher-end repainting options. We help evaluate whether a refresh is worth it.
Aurora Painting FAQs
Learn what to expect when working with a local painting company who understands your neighborhood and home's specific needs.
At over 5,400 feet, UV exposure is significantly stronger than at sea level. This causes paint to fade, chalk, and break down faster. Using high-quality, UV-resistant coatings and proper prep helps extend the life of your paint job.
Most exterior painting projects are completed within 3-7 days, depending on home size and weather conditions. We schedule around Colorado’s afternoon thunderstorms during summer months and maintain our commitment to completing 99% of projects within two weeks.
Yes! Before painting, we inspect for storm damage and recommend repairs so your new paint adheres properly and lasts longer.
Most standard exterior painting projects don’t require permits, but it’s always a good idea to check with the City of Aurora if your project involves structural repairs or major exterior changes.
Aurora residents can dispose of or recycle paint through programs like PaintCare, which partners with local drop-off sites across Colorado.
